SPRING 2024 RETREAT REGISTRATION OPENS ON Monday, February 5TH AT NOON.  All members will receive an invitation by email.

Two five-day retreats are held annually in the spring (April) and fall (November).  Retreats are held at Camp Huston, an idyllic setting in the Cascade foothills near Gold Bar.  The friendly staff at Camp Huston provide all the meals, leaving you nothing to do but quilt, quilt, quilt!  Everyone attending is assigned a workspace in one of the workrooms that range in size from a cozy space for eight quilters to a large hall with room for thirty-six.

During retreats, there are no structured classes or workshops.  You bring your own quilting materials and supplies to work on your own projects, at your own speed.  If at any time an afternoon hike or nap seems more important than quilting, that's fine too.  You can rub elbows with some of the most creative quilters in the area, so opinions, advice, and help are always at hand.  Visit the various workrooms to see what others are doing for inspiration!   There is a 'yard sale' area, where you can sell your stuff to other quilters at retreat.

Attending retreat is good way to develop friendships within QA.  And, because they are so much fun, retreats are also extremely popular.  Space is limited, so if you want to attend, be sure to follow the registration instructions!

Individual Retreat Grant Program

Beginning with Spring Retreat 2022, and running through Fall Retreat 2026, QA’s Individual Retreat Grant Program offers QA Members an opportunity to attend a QA Retreat by supplementing their registration fees.  NOTE: Applications MUST be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of retreat.

For information see Individual Retreat Grant Program and Grant Request Form.

Online Registration for Retreat

NOTE: Please read the Spring Retreat Pricing page BEFORE you register!

Retreat registration is an online, two-step process for overnight lodging; and  a separate registration for members who are attending just for the day.  Registration for all members opens two months prior to the start of retreat, February 5th, for Spring 2024.  There is a $100 deposit required with your reservation to hold your space.  This deposit is refundable (less transaction fees), IF your registration is canceled PRIOR TO ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF RETREAT.

Overnight guests first submit your request for sleeping and workspace preferences using the Retreat Lodging Reservation.  Refer to workspace layouts when choosing your preferred spot, if you have one, here: Workspace-Layouts-Fall-2023.

Approximately one month prior to the start of retreat, registrants receive an email confirmation of your reservation and instructions for the next step, the Final Payment. This step must be completed within one week of receipt of your email; and includes extra meals and linen options.  This delay from reservation to final payment allows you to make final decisions for your retreat stay.  All requests for changes to your retreat stay should be made prior to completing this final payment.

Day Visitor registration opens at the same time, but is a separate registration.  Day visitors are limited to four per day, in accordance with the Retreat Guidelines.  Slots for additional day visitors may be opened approximately 10 days prior to retreat, and day visitors are taken from the waiting list first.  So, be sure to register on the waiting list if slots fill up!

Please read the Retreat Registration instructions for full details.  Members are also encouraged to read the Retreat Guidelines, which have been updated with respect to our new online registration process.
