Our nationally-known guest speakers usually offer QA members one or more workshops in their area of expertise while they’re here. Past workshops have included everything from sashiko to appliqué to fabric dyeing.
Workshop dates and times vary based on instructor availability, but are usually held the Thursday after the Wednesday meeting. Class fees also vary based on the instructor and the class content. Please see the QA calendar for upcoming workshops and their fees.
Workshops are held at our usual meeting location, and full-day workshops run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The doors open at 8:30 AM for setup, and students are expected to be ready to start promptly at 9:00. Bring a sack lunch; we take a short lunch break at noon. The location must be cleaned up and all students must be out by 4:00 PM.
Supply lists will be distributed to registered students prior to the workshop. In addition to the items on the supply list, you will need to bring your own sewing machine and any basic sewing supplies needed.
Members: log in to get more information on upcoming workshops.
Non-Member Policy: Depending on enrollment, registration may be opened up to non-members of QA during the month of the workshop. Non-members will pay a $10 non-member registration fee in addition to the cost of the workshop.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations requested at least 30 days prior to the day of the workshop will be refunded the workshop fee, less a $10 cancellation processing fee. If you request a cancellation within 30 days of the workshop, you will receive a refund (less the $10 cancellation processing fee) only if the class is filled by waitlisted or other registrants, or if you find your own replacement. The replacement does not have to be a QA member, but if they are not then they will have to pay an additional $10 non-member fee for the workshop.
