Satellite Groups

Satellite Groups are small groups of QA members who meet regularly to sew and build friendships. They are a great way to meet other QA members, get more involved in the guild, and build a quilting community for yourself.

We have 27 active Satellite Groups at this time, many of which are accepting new members. They meet all over the Puget Sound area at different times of day and days of week. We even have virtual satellite groups that meet primarily through email or Zoom.

Many groups have a special focus, such as art quilts, appliqué, restoring vintage quilts, or making a specific quilt pattern together. Others have no special focus other than to find new friends in their local area who love quilting.

Activities vary from group to group, but can include group projects, quilt challenges, community service projects, retreats, and road trips, in addition to just getting together to quilt.

With so many satellite groups to choose from (and the option of starting your own), there’s truly something for everyone. Joining a satellite group is a great way to build community and feel “at home” within the larger guild.

Members: the current list of satellite groups is listed in your roster and in the Members area of the website. Contact the Satellite Groups chair if you need help finding a group to join, or if you’d like to start your own satellite group.
